The Prettiest Shade of Blu by The Loomis Fargo Gang

This blog posts a lot of hip-hop, and that's mainly because a lot of good hip-hop is sent to us. To switch it up I want to share a little bit about this album by The Loomis Fargo Gang that was submitted to the blog.

A folk rock band from Norfolk, Virginia named after some redneck thieves the band once knew, Loomis Fargo Gang presents the peaceful and melodious album; The Prettiest Shade of Blue. I'm not sure if it was the simplicity of the album that really caught my ear, but whatever it was, I'm glad it did. The lyrics to most of the songs are fun, and playful and they the best part is that they tell stories. The music itself is nothing that will completely blow you away, but the soft strumming of the acoustic guitar will definitely soothe you. This album makes you feel the sounds of spring and as weird and somewhat impossible as that may sound, it's true and it truly sounds wonderful to sit back and enjoy.
