Substantial; the DMV rhymer that consistently receives extremely high praises on this site is at it again with his latest single "MLK (Dream Big)" which features rapper See King, and production from an Under-Cover Album Review favorite, The Other Guys. The track itself is the first single off Stan's upcoming EP titled, The Past... which, in fact, is entirely produced by The Other Guys, and will be the first of three EPs leading up to a Substantial's fourth studio release due the fourth quarter of 2015.
"MLK (Dream Big)" is a very mellow and smooth track, with a very soft and serene boom-bap beat. The vocal work by Substantial is great, per usual, as he displays his above-average delivery that he is often noted for. Though, it must be said that the featured artist, See King, had some exceptional verses and really blended well with Substantial's already established sound. This track isn't anything mind blowing, but it is a very solid song that carries a lot of value with it. Be sure to listen to "MLK (Dream Big)" and comment your thoughts below!
