The latest track of the upcoming compilation album, Jamla Is The Squad (January 28th) features Hip-Hop legend Pete Rock along with female emcee Rapsody and the very talented Lecrae. This song challenges artists to push themselves and make music that separates themselves from the Hip-Hop status quo. What better artists to say that than three people who have never disappointed on a verse, and have never been much on conventional flows. Rapsody is quickly becoming one of the staples in underground Hip-Hop, female or not, she is stirring up quite the storm. While Lecrae is known best for his positive music and image, lyrically preaching on tracks about his faith and beliefs. No introduction is needed for Pete Rock but he does help make this song is a standout track in today's cookie cutter industry. Did I mention Khrysis produced it?
